Welcome to Full of Joy Animal Sanctuary

Helping animals in need find their forever homes

Full of Joy sanctuary offers forever homes to animals in need. We have had pigs, goats, ponies. chickens, turkeys, geese, sheep, ferrets and terrapins. We run the sanctuary on vegan priniciples and try and ensure everything we do is environmentally friendly. We are a not for profit organisation run by volunteers.  We are based in the beautiful hills between  Hedden Bridge and Todmorden, in West Yorkshire.

What we do

We offer forever homes to animals that have been abused, abandoned or neglected. We strive to give each animal in our care the best life and therefore have to be careful how many we take on - we want to remain part of the solution, not become another problem.

Wildlife:

We will take in and rehabilitate wildlife if we have the room and the correct facilities for the animal in need

Pig Dating

We have two pigs - Frodo and Samwise- that have  forever homes at the sanctuary. We are also working with the amazing 'Every Pig Rescue charity' to find homes for pigs who are desperately in need. Check out their website, or contact us.

We are currently offering a safe space for two of their pigs, Annie and Susie, until we can find them a  forever home.

Sam and Frodo

Sam and Frodo were bought as micropigs (there's no such thing) and then they grew...

Frodo was dumped in a wood and Sam was moved into a shed with a concrete shed with no outdoor space and no bedding...

They both needed a lot of  love, care  and some medical intervention.

They are now happy and loving life ... and cuddles! They are definite favourites with our volunteers.
